Caring for a loved one may be one of the most important, but hardest roles in your life.
Have you thought about taking time to recharge?
To provide the best care you can, you need to be feeling your best. Taking a break can help sustain you. Let our care team take over for a moment, so you can look after yourself.
Whether your loved one has a terminal illness or a disability, you can feel confident that our care team will support them, while you take time to restore.
What does Respite and Carer Support help with?
Our Respite and Carer Support services give you the time you need to sustain yourself through the journey of caring for a loved one who is aging, has an illness or is living with disability.
Caring for a loved one is a full time job and it may seem daunting to step away. Thinking about your own needs will restore your strength and help you care for your family for the long run.
We will come to your home in the Brisbane North, Moreton Bay & Townsville area and do the tasks you’d normally do so that you can take a break.
This may include:
- Personal care, like showering and dressing
- Preparing meals
- Cleaning and gardening
- Caring for pets
- Healthcare support like administering medication
- Outings, for either social events like a walk in the park, or church visit or support with doctors’ appointments.
As part of our Respite and Carer Support services, we offer overnight stays. We’ll come to your home, and make sure we have a thorough understanding of what needs to be done so that you can take a longer break.
This service can be tailored to your family’s needs. We can stay for any length of time and you are welcome to remain in your home, or stay elsewhere for the night. Wherever you stay, you can rest assured your loved one is well cared for.
Get support whenever you need it
We’re here for you, whether you need support at short notice, or more ongoing respite visits. Short notice support is available; we are available to quickly provide the necessary support and care to ensure that you or your loved one receive the assistance you need.
We encourage you to plan ongoing respite visits so that you can regularly take time to recharge. We’ll do everything your loved one needs so that you can take some time to look after yourself.
