Our Carer Support Respite Services
Our respite services give you the breaks you need to sustain yourself through the long journey of caring for a loved one with an illness or disability.
You can use respite services at short notice if you’ve become desperate for a rest but we encourage you to plan respite so that you get a regular break. It’s OK to think about your own needs here – restoring your own strength helps you care better in the long run.
RESPITE SERVICES
We stay at your home and do the tasks you’d normally do so that you can take a break. We may provide some social activities for the client during the day, alongside personal care and meal preparation.
Then we stay overnight, giving you the chance for uninterrupted sleep. You can stay and sleep in your own bed if you prefer or you can pamper yourself with a hotel room and a long lie-in. We know how much you need it.
ACCESSING SERVICES
There are several ways to access in-home palliative care nursing. You may be able to use funding from your NDIS Plan, DVA Community Nursing money, or Home Care Package in Brisbane North, Moreton Bay & Townsville (though extra hours may be at your own cost). You may also use the palliative care service as a private client, funding your own care.
While there are different ways to access our in-home palliative care nursing, you will always receive the same high-quality care delivered with compassion.
